Getting to Leukerbad
By road from Geneva – 2 hours
Drive from Geneva airport, take the left lane from Car Hire and join the Lausanne Highway. Follow Route 9 towards Vevey. Stay on 9, and onto the Autoroute du Rhone. Forward to Sion, signposted Brig. At the large satellite dishes in Leuk follow the road, signposted Leukerbad, up into the mountains, and into Leukerbad. On entering the village, follow the main road to first roundabout, turn right. 300 metres, past Grichting Interior Design, next sharp left. Residenz Ambassador is on the corner next to the Hotel Bristol.
By rail from Geneva
From Geneva airport the direct train to Leuk usually leaves at 27 minutes past the hour. In Leuk there is a bus connection up the hill. Door to door the journey takes just under three hours. Swiss Transfer Ticket takes you to and from your destination for £75.00, accompanying child under 16 is free. By road from Milan (Malpensa) – 3 hours
Turn left towards Aeroporto Malpensa 2000. Turn right at Aeroporto Malpensa 2000. Merge onto SS336. 12.5 km merge onto A26 via ramp to Genova. 10.3 km take exit towards Gravellona Tace. 2.5 km merge onto E62. 80.1 km to Iselle / Brig rail transfer to Brig-Glis (entering Switzerland). Continue on the A9 / E62 for 23.6 km. At the large satellite dishes in Leuk follow the road, signposted Leukerbad, up into the mountains, and into Leukerbad. On entering the village, follow the main road to first roundabout, turn right. 300 metres, past Griching Interior Design, next sharp left. Residenz Ambassador is on the corner next to the Hotel Bristol.
By rail from Milan – less than 3 1/2 hours
Trains for Leuk leave every two hours at 25 past the hour and the journey
takes just 2 hours 50 minutes. With a further 30 minutes for the bus ride
up the mountain.
Easy road and rail access is also available from major Swiss and Italian cities such as Bern, Turin and Zurich. Sion Airport (only a 40 minute rail or car ride from Leukerbad) operates winter charter flights to London City Airport.
